WARNING

This photo is entitled "Abandoned desk".

Tomorrow you won't hear a word from me.
I won't be able to! I will be kidnapped. Imagine a big empty road dans la banlieue of a small town like many others...I will be walking there on my own, listening to music and singing by myself, when a group of crazy, angry Ku Klux Klan proselytes whose plane was hijacked to Casale Monferrato will mistycally flash in front of me, cover my head in a golden hood and dash away, carrying my unfortunate self under their arms, like a Frenchman would carry a baguette. Oh yes, i forgot: they will also wrap me in a dirty blanket that reminds of a paper napkin. I will fight as much as my strength allows me to. Then I'll faint, like all respectable heroines.

Friday you won't hear a word from me either.
In fact, I will find a mysterious object in my back garden and find out, thanks to my superior intelligence, that said object has alien origins. Then I will build a space shuttle with my brother, my sister and my dog, thanks to the inspiring book that the latter has carefully kept in his doghouse for more than a dozen faithful years. Where will we take the materials needed? I'm sure that the kitchen and the garage will provide all the necessary. At twilight we'll be ready to start our spacial adventure, but mum will promise to prepare Nutella crèpes if we stay, and by the way the alien object might as well turn out to be grandad's old toad skin, filled with socks.

Don't be disappointed if I don't write on Saturday.
It isn't fully impossible that wings will suddenly appear on the sides on my bike, and I will fly all around the world thirteen times until I have a bike crash with a pig that pretends to have forgotten his flying licence at home. I know he doesn't actually have one, how could he? But since I don't like liars, I'll punish him by throwing a gone-off strawberry cheesecake right on his nose. Then I'll repent of my bad action, I will continue my journey to India in order to purify myself in the river Ganges and finally I might post something on this blog in the late afternoon!!! :)

WATER

"From ash you came, as you'll become".
NO, PEOPLE!
Me thinks we all came from water. So "from water you came, as you'll become".
And I'm siiii-nging in the raaaain, Just siiiiii-nging in the raaain, What a glorious feeeeee-lin',
I'm haaaaa-ppy again...

Today I was thinking, "Ok, I got rejected by St Andrews, no big deal. So I'm OUT. But...guess what? I'm actually I.N.! I am Iiiirene Nnnnegri!!! Now I wonder if there is someone that got IN, whose initials are O.U.T. ...Some Owen Ulysses Tadgerson maybe??" hahahah I'd love to know.
That has nothing to do with water. And it isn't even raining anymore. Suunshiiiiine :D

Jovanotti (Italian singer) sings "I know that I'm not alone, even when I am alone" /io lo so che non sono solo, anche quando sono solo.../ - when I heard this I asked to my friend: "Is he talking about God, or about the aliens?"

They say that yellow is the colour of crazy people. My first camera was yellow. I always adored my mum's yellow car. A test recently stated that yellow is the colour of my soul (hmm WHERE is my soul though?), because I'm happy and hakuna-matata-like. Yellow also oddly reminds me of the cheerleader chants that I learnt in the university choir...at the Lord Mayor Show, in December, everyone heard us shout "Y-E-L-L everybody yell: Lon-don-Met!". It was fun!!!

WINDOW

Window is spelt exactly like 'widow'.
Except it has an 'n'.
Wow, this is so obvious.
Window also sounds like "win dough".
Kinda. Right?
This is maybe not as obvious.
Tomorrow I hope I'll get the window seat.
windows are so coolThis is my bedroom window.

A CUBE.

I was given a giant yellow paper to make Melanie's birthday card on behalf of everyone.
I like doing something very different every time I make a birthday card. So I made a cube out of that giant yellow paper.
I had an amazingly good time making that birthday cube and I love the light of these photos! Shame I don't have three hands, though, I would've loved even more a photo of my two hands working together, collaborating for the common good...
Nice. Nice. Nice. You'll never be wrong if you ask me to make a birthday card out of some giant yellow paper that otherwise wouldn't have a purpose in life. Please save giant yellow papers! And all giant paper in general anyway, I don't want to make discriminations hahah
That wasn't very quirky, was it?
But it was NICE.

LISTS :D

I lllllooooove lists!!! And diaries. But the post's title is "lists", FOCUS, IRENE!

TEN RANDOM THINGS:

1. if you run under the pouring rain for more than one minute, and you kinda already had a cold before, as much as you can enjoy it on the moment - don't expect not to be sick the following day;
2. fundraisers like me, they think I've got a lovely big smile;
3. it's funny when you want to make a 10-point list and by the time you got to number 3 you realise you've got no idea whatsoever about what you're next going to say;
4. Ugonna and Kripa are talking about gossip girl and other very clever stuff, right here, right now...how exciiiting :P
5. I heard on the radio that "831" is a nice secret way to say "i love you"...8 letters, 3 words, 1 meaning!!! That's quite cute, innit?
6. Because I'm not a real Londoner, no matter how hard I try, I always feel weird when I say or write "innit" hahahah
7. When I was 5, one summer night I was trying to sleep but I couldn't, I was too hot. But if I put the sheets aside, I was too cold. So I took my pair of scissors and cut two wonderful holes so that my FEET could stay outside, and all the rest of me could stay nice and warm underneath the sheets. The following day mum asked me "Irene, did you cut the sheets??". I said "No mum, I think Aurelio did it" with my innocent face. It was the first lie I ever consciously told. Aurelio was 2 at the time. xD
8. It's 20.20, I wish today was 20.02.2002 or 2020 as well, but...ooops! It isn't :)
9. Nine is my favourite number.
10. Uhmmm. Number 10 is the hardest, because you want to write something especially good, since that is probably what the people will remember when they go to sleep and then they might even dream it, but who are these people anyway??? Well ok, the people here talk to me so I'm distracted now. And I don't really like it when These People (they're EVERYWHERE, do you realise? Creepy) read while I'm still working on my post before actually posting it! Oh well. If they're friends. What can you do?
Sleep well people. Yeah Bonnie, you got it right, this is PRECISELY a stream of consciousness :D

TIME & SPACE

One hour later, the tin can was gone.
I like it that these words are all one or two syllables long.
Apart from 'syllables', of course.

THE TRUTH xD

HEHEHEE.

Preparing a presentation on why aid should be abolished, and looking at poverty rates graphs, statistics on the poorest countries blabla, has taught me that you can prove ANYTHING, provided that you have the right part of the information...Therefore: TA-DAA !
Look at my amazing progress in saving more and more money week after week!

And don't you dare to think - not even for ONE TINY SECOND - that the following week my expenses went up again. I'll wait for you outside the schoolgates!!!!!!!! xD

STAMPS

Is there anything to add? Stamps are MAGNIFICENT! Especially since they seem to hibernate Her Majesty The Queen better than the Philosopher's Stone, better than Berlusconi's liftings, and definitely better than anyone could possibly ever imagine ;)

I wonder if anyone has ever tried to count how many times you can read "ROYAL MAIL" on a stamp. Approximately, I would suggest 419.

IN THE FARAWAY LAND

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there were two vegan shadows on a wall. They were ticklish, but they loved riddles and crosswords. They also liked karate.
Also, once upon the same time but in another, further-away land, there lived a flock of wing-equipped ninja kangaroos, whose favourite hobby was to study the relationship between jellyfish and jelly beans. They slept on strawberry bushes and enjoyed making origami.

A little bit further away in that faraway land (the kangaroos' one), two years later, little Giuseppina learnt that if you sleep lying face down in the back part of a big shoe, you are not as comfortable as sleeping on the floor lying face up. This made her realise that she had a purpose in life, therefore she set off on a long world tour, using the shoe as a boat. In her spare time she collected trolley wheels and door handles that she found on her way.
As far as I know, they all lived happily ever after!

RAILWAY STATIONS ♥

In case of fire, earthquake, tsunami, tornado, flood, avalanche, famine, volcanic eruption, drought, A-bomb, H-bomb, cyclonic storm, lahar, limnic eruption, solar flares, hailstorms and even heat waves, you know where to go.

So good to know where the WAY OUT is :)

SILLY ME :)

Shalalallaaaaa...stomp stomp stomp...lalalaaaaa...stomp, *walks round the corner* stomp, exclamation mark! *smiles*

It is SO CUTE when on Thursday night you go back home on your own by bus number 43 after a 3-hour entertaining choir rehearsal, re-singing all the songs in your head again and again and again while actually listening to other music on your light blue iPod shuffle and everything is so quiet that you can hear the sound of your shoes on the floor and you take a shortcut from the bus stop to get to the back door of your house and you turn round the corner and smile.
AND it is even cuter when the reason why you smiled is so silly that it makes you smile again. And again and again.
I wish armchairs could speak. I am pretty sure she (yes, in Italy armchairs are girrrrls! ^^) would have a very interesting story to tell.

PIGEONS

Breaking news: in spite of those who would say otherwise, in spite of global stereotypes and common mistrust, these cute friendly little birds named pigeons seem not to be so dirty after all!!! Isn't that a heart-warming thought? :)
